Garner and Affleck welcome new bundle of joy

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have a new reason to celebrate. They haven't received a new movie deal or won any award, but rather, Garner has given birth to the couple's third child, a boy. The dynamic duo made the announcement to the press in Santa Monica, California on Tuesday.
This is the first boy they will be welcoming into their family. Garner and Affleck are currently parents to six year old Violet and three year old, Seraphina. The couple disclosed they were expecting in January, but when asked the sex of the baby on The Tonight Show in January, Garner's lips were sealed.

"It would be so weird to have a boy,'' said Garner on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, but she also said the experience would be ''cool and different.''

In the past, Affleck said he feels more comfortable with girls.  In fact, when Garner was on The Tonight Show and asked if Ben would welcome a boy, she shared his thoughts.

''I would have thought so. At first I think I really thought so, and then he kind of said, 'Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I'm the big guy in the house.' So, now I'm not sure," she said at the time.

During Garner's pregnancy, her girls took an active role in coming up with unique baby names that included Donald Duck, Peter Pan and Minnie Mouse Affleck. Still, even her daughters didn't know whether their all-star mom was expecting a boy or girl.

''They’re coming up with lists and coming in and saying, 'Let's have a baby-naming contest! Let's have a baby-naming poll!' They ask everyone, because they just want to know. But we're not telling,'' Garner told E! Online.

The couple, who are close to other celebrity duos, like Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso, will undoubtedly receive posh baby boy gifts that will include stylish newborn baby clothes that would make any new parents jealous.
