Until today when I read this parenting article on What To Expect , I had never heard of this odd birth ritual which apparently has become one of the latest trends for some new parents. It's called Lotus Birth and apparently many new parents are opting to not cut the umbilical cord from their child, leaving it to dry up and fall off naturally. Ewe...is my first thought but hey everyone is entitled to their own opinions right, and that's just mine, however many parents would not agree with me and to that I say, to each his own...right?

Guest were immediately welcomed at the front door with an over-sized Sock Monkey in a bright red Radio Flyer wagon and an adorable sock monkey themed home-made wreath!
A food table, desert and treat table as well as a drink station were individually displayed throughout the home. Each beautifully decorated and so appealing! I love how she incorporated beautiful flowers as well as adorable baby pictures of her son throughout while remaining true to her sock monkey theme. Her color scheme coordinated beautifully throughout every inch of her party!
